I started my career working for DC Comics and Warner Bros licensing, and have since moved on to the animation world. I've done character designs for animated tv shows (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Maya & Miguel), tv commercial spots (My Scene Barbie, Wendy's Kids Meals), and I'm half of the creative driving force behind The Breakfast Monkey (with co-creator Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance).

Well, it's been a little over one year since I started this page and my blog (http://joeboylenyc.blogspot.com). Over the past year, I've become really comfortable with my drawing style, and with releasing my work into the internet without the fear that someone is going to steal it. Thanks for those of you that encouraged me to do it, and for those of you that continue to support me. In the coming year, I hope to be posting some finished work, not just roughs & pin-ups. came across ur page and checked out ur blog. How about drawing something from scratch instead of taking other peoples work and then horribly tweeking it? There are thousands of artists out there doing what u're doing, but u offer nothing original, exciting or stimulating. How about going back to school and taking some classes, instead of using gerard ways name? ur drawings are so one dimensional, and severely lacking depth. Is this all u're capable of producing? if u went back to school and learned new techniques like shading maybe then they would look less like a highschooler drew them?
